Course duration varies by programme. Entry-level courses like IATA Foundation and GDS Ticketing take 2β3 months. Intermediate courses like Cabin Crew, Ground Handling, and Air Cargo take 3β4 months. Diploma programmes like Hospitality Management take 4β6 months, while the advanced Aviation Management Diploma is a 6-month programme. All courses are self-paced so you can complete them faster if you dedicate more time per week.

This is essential because all IATA certifications are in English, and airline interviews and work environments are primarily English-speaking. Our instructors use clear, professional English appropriate for non-native speakers, and written study materials are available to support your learning.
Yes, you can enroll in multiple courses. Many students combine courses β for example, completing the IATA Foundation alongside the GDS Ticketing course, or the Cabin Crew programme alongside the IATA Foundation. You only need a device with internet access β a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. No specialist software is required. For the GDS Ticketing course, we provide access to a practice GDS terminal within the course platform. We recommend a stable internet connection for the best video lecture experience, but most materials can also be downloaded for offline study.

Most hiring managers at major airlines specifically look for IATA qualifications when shortlisting candidates. Without it, your application is at a significant disadvantage in international aviation job markets.
Upon successful completion of your programme β including completing all modules, passing assessments, and meeting the minimum score requirements β your IATA-aligned certificate is issued within 2β4 weeks. You can download a digital copy directly from your student dashboard at any time. A printed certificate can also be requested for an additional courier fee.

Your Akbar Academy Online certification does not expire. However, some IATA subject areas β particularly Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) β are updated annually, and industry best practice recommends refresher training every 1β2 years. For most roles, your original certification is valid indefinitely and remains a permanent part of your professional profile.

We occasionally offer scholarship seats for deserving students who demonstrate both financial need and genuine motivation for an aviation career. These are limited and allocated at the discretion of our admissions team. Our placement team works with every graduate personally. If you complete your course, engage with our placement support (resume building, interview coaching, grooming sessions), and are still not placed within 12 months, we will continue working with you at no additional cost until you secure a suitable role. We treat your career success as our responsibility β not just a programme deliverable.
